Ann: NanoArt International Festival call for art

NanoArt 21 and The Academy of NanoArt cordially invite you to exhibit at the 6th International Festival of NanoArt hosted at Hotel Eden Roc in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Spain, on September 24 – 30, 2021, about 100Km North of Barcelona.

ICPAM-13 is intended to be a forum of physicists, chemists, material scientists and engineers for the discussion and exchange of ideas and results, in fundamental and applied research in advanced materials.

The Art-Science–Technology session of the conference is intended to communicate the advancements concerning art-science-technology intersections to scientists and artists who would like to embrace this area of research.

The International Festival of NanoArt, artworks authored by international artists and scientists will be exhibited in Goya Hall at Hotel Eden Roc in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Spain.

Open AIR 2020 Artist-in-Residence Opportunity Spotlight: Summer and Fall sessions available at the Flathead Lake Biological Station (FLBS).

Stay in a quaint cabin.  Learn about the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi with access to researchers, undergrad and grad students, interns, taxonomic collections, analytical Lab, sensor lab, tool shop and more!

Flathead Lake Biological Station, University of Montana is one of the oldest active biological field research stations in the United States. It was established near Bigfork in 1899 by its first director, Dr. Morton J. Elrod, UM Distinguished Professor of Biology. It was moved to Yellow Bay in 1908.

CFP: American Art and Visual Culture Seminar

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
Submission Deadline: Monday, June 3, 2019

The Newberry Seminar in American Art and Visual Culture is open to those working in the art history and visual culture of the United States, from the colonial era to the present. They are inviting papers that cross and challenge borders both within and outside the discipline that engage questions of methodology and ideology, examine exhibition and provenance history, probe the categories of race, ethnicity, class, and gender, and reflect critically on the state and outlook of the field.

They also welcome topics focusing on Chicago art and design within the larger national and international contexts, such as: thematic studies on world’s fairs, Chicago’s Gilded Age, institutional/private/corporate display practices, urban landscapes, African-American art past and present, and self-taught artists.
